Additional Comments

Installs through Steam with no issue and runs perfectly fine without requiring any modifications. All video resolutions work flawlessly. I am currently running the game in 5120x2880 (5K) resolution and it runs perfectly fine, stable and smoothly!!!!! No audio issues, no graphical issues. Works perfectly out-of-the-box with great performance.

HowTo / Notes

Steam overlay

If you have any issues with crashes on mouse/keyboard input, corrupted graphics or other issues: try disabling the Steam game overlay.

 Even if it it doesn't break the game per-se, it might crash when you attempt to open it. Disabling it preemptively might be a good idea.

Wine configuration

For some users, it seems necessary to override the DirectX 9 libraries used by the game. It doesn't seem to be needed in all setups, specifically not for Wine 1.7.13+ users with NVIDIA proprietary drivers, but if you see a blank screen or graphics corruption, try overriding the following libraries, either manually or through Winetricks:

  1. d3dx9_43 -> (native, builtin)
  2. d3dcompiler_43 -> (native, builtin)

Steam should install the DirectX and Visual C++ redistributable packages automatically, but if for some reason they are missing, install them manually, through the Microsoft-provided downloads:

Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86)

DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer
