Age of Conan unchained

What works

• Installed from DVD, original AOC version
• Auto-updated itself to 4.1.7
• Launches fine
• Character creation
• Game runs very well so far. I have played up to level 20 with no crashes or serious problems.

What does not

There are some graphical glitches. Some parts of the sky/background render as large pixelated areas of black or blue with scattered green pixels. Looks terrible, but it is usually easy to ignore when playing.

Some AI in the newbie are were missing some of their bodies. For instance, most skin texture was not visible on one AI except for their mouth. It looked like a mouth floating in the air above a torso.

Sometimes armor and facial hair do not render in the character selection screen, but renders properly in-game.

Additional Comments

I do not recall having to do anything special to get the game installed and updated. I found the game runs best for me in "Windowed (Fullscreen)" mode, which maintains desktop resolution and prevents my second monitor from being disabled. This displays the game in a border-less window. I am able to click away from the game and back again if need be.
