Everything works exactly as per XP. I used Ubuntu 13.10, and installed WINE (1.7.16). I just right clicked the .exe file, selected install with wine, and it installed, along with a proper screen icon and an extra link. I deleted the surplus link.
Everything worked perfectly, all old data was readable once I copied the .ABK data file into the newly created program file folder. Our old 2006 license did not work to activate the latest version, so I just copied the old program files into the folder, and activation worked and all was well. I had lost the old original .exe install file, so used the latest one off the web site to force the install.
What does not
Nothing, all functions appear to work correctly, and the screen icon works to activate the program.
What was not tested
I did not try and uninstall the program, but it does come with an uninstaller, which should work based on the WINE docs.
A very impressive effort with Wine, worked just as described, and very little fuss to make it so.
