Descent 3 1.4eu works almost flawless in Wine. You have to use a nocd
crack to get around the copy protection. It's a bit hard to find - aMule is
your friend here.
You have to select OpenGL in the setup to run the game!

What works
everything up to a point with OpenGL.No menu. D3D works but doesnt render correctly when in game.Menu works as D3D.Maybe we need winetricks to add in some DirectX?
What does not
Joystick not tested as it wasnt plugged in. I have an xpad Chinese clone.Keyboard/mouse controls are dodgy.
Workarounds
What was not tested
Joystick and actual gameplay.

Additional Comments
needs some d3d/directX help.Alt-F2, as usual for save states is mapped to UI in GNOME2+ as the run dialog, so you cant save.Version for old linux version is available but requires old libs to work.Rumored to have a Linux equivalent.I cant seem to find it.Lockups require a vterm switch to kill the process.(maybe a wine issue?)
