What works
After installing Rainmeter, the default skins load up and appear on the desktop. The application icon appears in the xfce4-panel notification area, and right clicking the icon brings up the context menu with all options working fine.
Skins can be dragged around and also can be snapped to the sides of the screen and each other. However for some odd reason when dragging a skin then accessing one of Rainmeter's option menus the skin will snap to the mouse and keep following it, regardless of whether you have the mouse held down or not.
