Here's what I had to do to get it working with wine-1.7.2: 1) patch wine to work around bug 34030 ( http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=45265 ) 2) "winetricks vd=1366x768" to work around bug 34012 (you can undo this after the installer finishes) 3) "winetricks directx9 vcrun2008 vcrun2010 gdiplus" After that, it seems to install, start up, and log in ok.
