What works
-Installing
-Launching
-Singleplayer
-Multiplayer
-Gameplay
-Customize menu
-Graphical settings
-Steam Workshop
After installing xact and the dotnet packages with Winetricks through PlayOnLinux and installing it through Steam, the game runs almost perfectly. No network lag, no strange graphical glitches other than water reflections getting wonky at times and some light flares bleeding through walls, but neither of those are extremely gamebreaking or even noticeable most of the time. Multiplayer is smooth and the combat is as well. I played for about 5 hours straight with little to no problems. Steam Workshop downloaded with no troubles as well. The game works in both windowed and fullscreen.
What does not
-Steam Overlay and related features
-Windowed mode causes problems
-Voice chat
-Alt-tab in fullscreen
-Forced resolutions
You must disable the Steam overlay to the game before launching by right clicking the game and going to properties. If you leave it enabled, the game will crash to desktop without warning as soon as you press a key.
If you leave the game in windowed mode, there's a high chance of accidentally clicking outside the window when playing, due to the fast-paced nature of the game. While it is possible to play in windowed mode, it is not recommended as the game will constantly be minimized due to the mouse movement.
I have not managed to get my mic working in the game, when I go to the voice settings it displays a line of code and I cannot do anything except press Back and return to the main menu.
When you run the game at fullscreen, you cannot alt-tab without the application refusing to respond to all input, which will then require you to kill the process. The same goes (usually, it's on and off, more on than off) for clicking on a different window (if you are running the game and a chat program on separate monitors, for example). This more-or-less renders Steam chat useless unless you have a smartphone, tablet, laptop, etc. to dedicate to Steam chat.
Launch options are unable to force a resolution, so if your desired resolution isn't listed by default in the options menu, then there isn't much you can do about it.
Workarounds
What was not tested
-Installing / playing the game without installing xact and dotnet packages first
-Multi-monitor spanned screen

Additional Comments
Upon installing, it will always run first-time setup at launch, which consists of it attempting to install the Microsoft .Net Framework. This will take a few minutes, longer if you install the game to an external hard drive. Expect a 2-5 minute wait, 10-15 minutes for those that install on an external hard drive. When it's done, first time setup will close and the game will launch. CONCERNING THE OVERLAY AND VOICE CHAT: I actually have found a method of enabling both voice chat and Steam Overlay. Enable it in the properties for Blade Symphony, and when the game launches, without touching the keyboard, immediately head to the options menu, then to the audio menu, then click voice settings. Upon doing that, the overlay will open up and a menu for editing voice settings will appear. Exit out of that menu, and the game will then correctly respond to input. I am not putting this in the main test results as I do not know if this is just for me or if it works for everyone, but if you absolutely need the overlay, that's a good thing to try. Note that this test previously gave results for Ubuntu 13.10. I have migrated to 14.04 and can confirm that the game works just as well.
