What does not
The installer interrupts due to same bugs than X Pro. These bugs have already been referred on Wine application Database/Bugzilla. Due to the interruption, not all required files will be installed to run the program on Wine.
At the moment, the program must be installed by copying successfully extracted files from a Windows OS to your Linux Wine installation:
From Windows, copy folder:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 11.0\
To Linux destination:
/home/user/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Adobe/Acrobat 11.0
You may also need to copy C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe into proper Wine location.
I had some crashing issues while extracting XI Pro installer files with Wine (AcrobatPro_11_Web_WWMUI.exe).
Running the program
When running the program, some stability issues may occur. The program is very unstable without winetricks atmlib package. This additional atmlib package is a must.
Although closing XI Pro, it likely stays open as a background process and eats a lot of CPU resources (Acrobat.exe). You have to kill the exe file forcefully by using a System Monitor. If you had run multiple Acrobat sessions, there may be multiple of those exe files running simultaneously.
What was not tested
3D PDF functions not tested yet. Should be done, however.
Tested with Wine 1.7.18. Clean 32-bit prefix with only atmlib package installed via winetricks (winetricks atmlib)
