XMedia Recode can convert almost all known audio and video formats, including 3GP, 3GPP, 3GPP2, AAC, AC3, ADTS, AMR, ASF, AVI, AVISynth, DVD, FLAC, FLV, H.261, H.263, H.264, M4A , M1V, M2V, M4V, Matroska (MKV), MMF, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, TS, TRP, MP2, MP3, MP4, MP4V, MOV, QT, OGG, PSP, RM, (S ) VCD, SWF, VOB, WAV, WebM, WMA and WMV.
XMedia Recode can only convert unprotected DVDs.

From what I can tell almost everything works well.
My testing: Convert .MKV file to .MP4 using a 2-pass average bit rate and copying, not converting, the audio channels (6).
What does not
The 'Open File' function does not seem to do anything. To work-around this, drag and drop your files into the main XMedia Recode window.
The 'Open Disc' function crashes. I have not conducted any further testing with this.
What was not tested
I did not test converting the audio portion of a .MKV file.
The .exe file installed without error. The software launched and was immediately usable.
