I had to install native 201006 DirectX version of x3daudio1_7.dll, xactengine3_7.dll, xapofx1_5.dll, and xaudio2_7.dll. The xaudio2_7.dll CLSID 5a508685-a254-4fba-9b82-9a24b00306af registry entry had to be manually added for the sound to work. All this because winetricks won't succeed, and regsrv32 will not register the dlls.
