What works

- Installer

- Swing (with below caveats)

- JDK (1.)5.0 specific features in bytecode

- Correct classpath etc setup and integration with existing apps that required it

- Tested own rather eclectic code, and larger 3rd party apps without any deviation from the native jre of the same version running on the host linux system

What does not

- Double buffering in Graphics (may be the remote X11 setup I use)

- Running with Windows XP as the selected OS to simulate

- Some slight window size issues, but could very well be the apps I tried

Workarounds

What was not tested

- Networking

- Running with OS setup as anything other than Windows 2000 (works) and Windows XP (doesn't work)

Additional Comments

As per the comments with the 1.4.x JDK - Requires Windows 2000 selected (didn't test with NT4.0) to avoid HotSpot errors - Option -Dsun.java2d.noddraw needs to be passed on the command line to java to get swing based applications to work. I also found I needed to switch off double buffering support under Graphics to get installer to run. After this, using a clean install (no ~/.wine) it seemed to work fine.
