Planescape: Torment

What works

The game installs and plays great.    You have to use wines emulate a virtual desktop.    It works much better for some reason than 1.1.29 .  The window is drawn correctly now. I didn't have to change the fullscreen setting in Torment ini this time.    In fact other than changing the max fps and using virtual desktop I didn't have to do anything else to get the game running . For better game performance change the max frames per second to 40 in the ini.   Also to get a bigger screen than 800x600 you can install the widescreen mod from http://www.gibberlings3.net/downloads/#widescreen and then you can change the resolution for the virtual desktop.  Get the windows version of the mod and put it in your Torment folder and execute it using wine. Then follow the directions for use on the site linked to.

Additional Comments

I give it a gold because other than the emulate a virtual desktop setting nothing else really needs to be changed . You can do the other things I pointed out for getting better resolution and better performance but they are not mandatory.
