- The DOS version starts up a DOSBOX (if available) and works as should. The sound setup works too, both soundblaster16 and gravis were tested.
- The Win95 version gives the error "requires 256 color mode to run". This can be circumvented by using one of the methods described here: http://wiki.winehq.org/256ColorMode
What does not
Nothing esssential as far as I can see. Both versions are playable.
What was not tested
- I only tested the first few levels
- I didn't test any exotic sound setups (there were .386 drivers and Ultrasound patches included that probably won't work in Wine)
This game is identical to the Genesis/Snes version, and behaves pretty much like an emulator. Therefore I think it's easier to just use play the console versions, as these are easier to set up (there is no non-volatile save data in this game anyway). For the record: most of the Infogrames games of this era (Tintin, Spirou, The smurfs) used a similar setup.
