The main menu can be reached.
After working around the mouse input problem and tweaking the options, ingame also works.
What does not
The application does not get any mouse input (see also bug 10016).
To work around it, the script to set the process priority is still necessary.
Intro must be disabled in the Setup program, otherwise the application blocks after showing the
Direct3D must be disabled, otherwise a lot of flicker and some graphic corruption occurs.
What was not tested
'Runs' set to 'yes', but by itself wine does not run the program successfully: it is possible to run it by tweaking wineserver process priority, disabling Introduction and disabling Direct3D.

Network Play can be fixed using one of two methods:
1) Install Microsoft DX9 using the winetricks script.
The game seems to require registry entries created by the DX9 installer in order to initialize network play.
2) Install native directplay dlls
Set the overrides for these using wineconfig, but make sure to set them up in the global container, not for the game itself.
Register all the dlls using the command regsvr32 dllnamehere
Hosting a game seems not to work, however you should be able to join a network game.
