Tested the image viewer and image editor options. Very slow to load thumbnails or individual images, even sub-100Kb .jpgs were slow to load in the application window.
Most functions work within the application window, albeit clicking & dragging the cropping frame was horribly slow and jerky. Applying filtration or altering the colorization was slow in responding, though eventually successful.
What does not
The thumbnails do not generate correctly in the viewer or editor, they are distorted, incomplete and black & white.
This is the dealbreaker though (and why I didn't test further options): saving the manipulated image to the designated output filepath does not work. The image appears correctly in the PhotoScape application window but the actual saved image is distorted, incomplete and black & white, similar to the distortions in the thumbnails. Viewing it in Ristretto, gThumb or the PhotoScape viewer made no difference, the actual saved image can only be described as broken.
What was not tested
Batch editing; page; combine; animated GIF; screen capture; RAW conversion; print.
