Sketchup 2015 itself is working OK.
However, I am having problems installing Ruby Extensions from the Sketchup Extensions Warehouse. As an example, one Extension that I'm trying to use is "Cutlist". It installs OK with no errors. But when it runs within Sketchup, most of the contents of the Cutlist Extension's dialog box are missing.
This link shows what the Extension's Dialog Box should look like; i.imgur.com/IGU7ZtB.png (screen shot from a Windows Computer).
This link shows what that same extension's dialog box looks like when running under Wine; i.imgur.com/CHIMqh5.png
Is this problem most likely part of some known problem with Ruby scripts running under Wine, or is there some other explanation or resolution?
Many thanks,
Roy

Maybe, one day in the future, when Wine development has progressed a bit more, I'll have another go at using Sketchup 201? under Wine.
As I earn my living from using Sketchup, I need the full functionality of Shetchup to be working.
Thanks,
Roy

However, I never did manage to overcome the issues with Ruby Plugins failing to install correctly, along with a myriad of other bugs (features). I needed Sketchup to work reliably as part of my work, so I'm afraid that I have abandoned Wine in favour of Win10 installed in VirtualBox.
Maybe when the next major version of Wine comes out, I'll give it another try. In the meantime, I just need Sketchup to work reliably with all standard features available, which at the present stage is not the case with Sketchup on Wine.

Here should be right link for mfc100u
www.mediafire.com/download/tql4xskm468xf9g/mfc100u.dll
If that doesn't work either, try install 32-bit version of sketchup 2015.

This has gotten me a running Sketchup Make window, and I've gotten as far as the template selection. It's not happy after that so will try a few things and see how I go.

I've tried a few of the winetricks options for IE 7 but suspect a more recent version of IE is going to be necessary to jump this hurdle.

I tried first the 64 bit version, but failed. Not sure if it was because I did something wrong (in the past I used only 32 bit versions inside wine) or if it was a wine issue.
by Roy Gilby on Saturday February 7th 2015, 1:21
Can anyone advise what version was used ?
Thanks,
Roy

also everytime i start sketchup, a new browser tab with tips appears. I could not yet find the switch to disable this.

About the browser tab, I think this is linked to the license prompt dialog. The URL I see is
help.sketchup.com/en/in-product/2015/make/ww/licensed and the dialog has an empty space for an embedded browser pane.
