Installed WINE as described in download page: If your system is 64 bit, enable 32 bit architecture ~$ sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386 Add the repository: ~$ wget -nc https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/Release.key ~$ sudo apt-key add Release.key ~$ sudo apt-add-repository https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/ubuntu/ On Linux Mint 17.x, the last line should be the following: ~$ sudo apt-add-repository 'deb https://dl.winehq.org/wine-builds/ubuntu/ trusty main' ~$ sudo apt-get update ~$ sudo apt-get install --install-recommends winehq-stable Installed SketchUp x86 2015 as described here: Create a 32bit wine prefix with the command: ~$ env WINEPREFIX=~/.wine-x86 WINEARCH=win32 wine wineboot Set windows 7 version in Application tab: ~$ env WINEPREFIX=~/.wine-x86 WINEARCH=win32 winecfg Install Sketchup (located in your ~/Downloads folder): ~$ env WINEPREFIX=~/.wine-x86 WINEARCH=win32 wine 'SketchUp x86 2015 v15.3.330 en.exe' Run from shortcut created in desktop.
