The game runs in 16 bit color display, so if you run 32/24 bits you need some alternate virtual X server. I suggest install xserver-xephyr: `sudo apt-get install xserver-xephyr` So, the order of instalation is as follows: 1. Install the game into a fresh Wine prefix (no need for any extra libraries) 2. Create a script that launches the game inside xephyr with: export WINEPREFIX= cd $WINEPREFIX/drive_c/Program\ Files/Scholastic/I\ SPY\ Fantasy Xephyr :1 -ac -screen 640x480x16 & DISPLAY=:1 wine ispy_fantasy.exe 3. Run the script to launch a game. The game will run in a small 640x480 window with its 16-bit color depth on 32-bit display.
