Installing, playing, finishing the game, sound, music, video sequences, cheats (via game console and by running in "devmode"), special shaders (i.e. thermal vision googles, etc.)
What does not
The game requires a patch to Linux kernel below 3.18, otherwise it will immediately crash with a segfault at start due to a legacy CPU type detection routine used by the game. You can find the patch (will be officially included in Linux 3.18) and the background information about the issue here: https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33275. I used the patch with 3.17 and experienced no issues.
DirectX renderer does not work (crashes the game), so I had to manually change it to "OpenGL" by editing the config file (in system.cfg : r_Driver = "OpenGL").
Antialiasing setting in game does not work, but you can force it via driver settings (i.e. amdcccle or nvidia-settings)
Running at "very high" graphics settings doesn't work well - there might be missing textures - I got stopped by the issue already during the training level as I couldn't find the ladder to climb out - turned out it was rendered invisible! Run it at "high" settings and then individually set some to "very high".
Sometimes individual textures in game are rendered completely black. This does not happen very often.
What was not tested
The major showstopper - the X86_FLAGS_NT patch for Linux kernel is now officially accepted, so it's out of the way. I still rate the game as "Gold" because it requires a manual configuration file editing at the beginning to get it running at all, otherwise the game runs extremely well and could deserve a Platinum rating.
