What works
What does not
There are some visual glitches. Shadowy squares will sometimes appear over distant objects. This is unaffected regardless of whether lowest or highest settings are used.
Sometimes the game will crash after a loading screen. This occurs most commonly after dying, but can happen infrequently if there are loading screens during missions; meaning the mission has to be played from the beginning. This is made a bit more frustrating by the fact the game has unskippable cut-scenes.

The framerate, and number of graphical glitches, are greatly improved (e.g. the sniper rifle's crosshairs are visible) by using the combination of Nouveau and Gallium Nine, rather than Nvidia's proprietary driver.

That worked. Now it locks up every 2 minutes. Screen freezes, mouse stops moving - hard locked. After another minute it quietly crashes to desktop . So now that I can get it to run, how to you keep it running for more than afew minutes without lockingup?

If it doesn't work, try to install d3dx11_43 and d3dx10_43 also.

This game can only be played with a system like this and dx11 enabled. Otherwise no good FPS.
Must be played with modified GamerProfile.xml(set file to read only):

Fixed a GLSL compiler bug that would produce corruption when running games such as Far Cry 3 in Wine.
