Please follow the installation notes from the previous version, https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=30104.
Also, please read http://renegade-x.com/news.php?id=74039 if you are coming from Open Beta 2.
An addition to that,
winetricks dotnet45
You might also want to add
-nomoviestartup -force-d3d9
to your launch command.
Don't even bother trying to run the included launcher as it just crashes instantly. You can use the in-game browser without any issues.
Make sure you go into winecfg and disable all the checkmarks under the graphics tab. This will ensure your X Session will not get tainted if the game decides to crash.
It turns out the in game server browser is using ping and wine doesn't have the proper privileges to use it. There is now a java based browser which should work fine for now, it's in its Alpha stage, but it's stable enough to launch the game. https://github.com/knightzac19/RenX-Server-Browser/blob/master/dist/Renx%20Server%20Browser%20Alpha%200.5%20x64.zip
Please do not attempt to use wine 1.7+ at the moment. As with the previous version, the game will still not work with 1.7+.
I will be doing some more testing with it now, but more than likely we'll have to stick with 1.6.2 for the time being.
Since this is a UT3 game, please refer to the UT3 page for problems you might be having as well.
