To get the audio working, I needed to update my DirectX using the installer included in the game files. To do this I ran wine /Users/[user name]/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Steam/steamapps/common/Valkyria\ Chronicles/_CommonRedist/DirectX/Jun2010/DXSETUP.exe NOTE: make sure you've got other Wine apps (like steam) closed otherwise this could fail. After that DirectX update, I was able to select my audio device in the game's Configuration tool. Video Resolution Crash: The game wasn't able to launch at the default resolution, which was something small like 800x600. I changed the resolution to match my monitor 1680x1050 and the game launches and plays perfectly. Frame Rate / "slow motion": The game was running smoothly but if felt like slow motion. In the game's configuration tool, i changed "Frame Rate" to "30 fps" instead of Vsync. Now the game runs at full speed. Enjoy!
