Starting new game works but requires workaround.
What does not
Starting new game never finishes normally (hangs using all CPU), but can be worked around, though a bit awkwardly (see below)
Displaying FIDS on tiles doesn't work - either not displayed or rendered in wrong places and orientations (depends on zoom level)
The game launches a seperate program to generate the world, which seems to hang. However, if you run this manually outside the game with the same arguments, it seems to complete without error. Ie:
$ cd ~/.wine/drive_c/Steam/steamapps/common/Endless Legend/Public/WorldGenerator
$ wine ./Amplitude.WorldGenerator.exe -config 'C:\users\brian\My Documents\Endless Legend\Temporary Files\WorldGeneratorConf
(Replacing location to temp directory for appropriate user)
If you then start the game normally through steam and go through the start game, it'll hang as before, but if you kill the Amplitude.WorldGenerator.exe process doing the creation, it'll instead use the world created above and continue successfully.
(To change world generation parameters, you'll need to start the process through the game, and then kill it and do it yourself. Alternatively, modify the XML file manually.
Not sure why the generation works when run seperately from the program but fails otherwise.
