Repeated "page fault on write access" issue
by Jake Grey on Thursday November 30th 2017, 12:23
Exact error message: Unhandled exception: page fault on write access to 0x7c002fd4 in 32-bit code (0x7d5346da).

I'm on Lubuntu 17.10 and wine 2.0.3. Is there a simple fix like adding some missing 32-bit libraries or going over to the development branch, or should I file a bug report?
Widescreen patches
by Kevin on Tuesday March 22nd 2016, 18:02
Has anyone managed to run the widescreen patches ( with the gog version on wine?

I tried both with and without "emulate desktop". I simply overwrote the executable "Pharoah.exe" in the game folder with the widescreen-patched one [after backing up the original], but to no avail. Tried with several different resolutions.

Anyone managed to get it working?
RE: Widescreen patches

Turns out I had missed an in-game option (not in the menu, but in an ongoing game) to swap resolutions. It needs to be set to 1024*768 in order for the widescreen patch to kick in.
