Install fails due to VC++ and DirectX install error, but has workaround (see below).
What does not
After that, the game pages fault on read access to 0 in 64-bit code in pvz.main_win64_retail+0x8ea06e
To fix the error related to VC++ and DirectX install, do the following inside the game directory (something like "C:/YOURORIGINDIRECTORY/Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare/"):
1. Move all __Installer/directx/redist/*.cab to somewhere else like a new OFF directory.
2. Rename __Installer/vc/vc2012Update3/redist/vcredist_x64.exe to something like vcredist_x64.exe.OFF, then symlink the original file like this:
ln -s /bin/true __Installer/vc/vc2012Update3/redist/vcredist_x64.exe
What was not tested
Game page faults after Play is pressed, so nothing beyond that is tested.
This is a 64-bit game so you need 64-bit wine. You may need to run 32-bit wine to start Origin.exe, so both wine and wine64 needs to exist.
