Old test results
The test results you have selected are very old and may not represent the current state of Wine.
Selected Test Results

What works

  • Fresh install.
  • Upgrade (6.13.4 -> 6.13.12), though the installer shows both the standard install and upgrade screens - it appears to complete twice.
  • CPU details correctly detected.
  • Proxy detected from environment.
  • MilkyWay@Home WU completed and validated.
  • boincmgr connects to remote clients.
  • Uninstall, though it claims to be upgrading.

What does not

  • Priority (niceness) not set.
  • Print button on installer doesn't do anything.
  • Wouldn't request new tasks from SETI@Home. Probably a config issue.
  • boincmgr takes far too long to connect.
  • Need to use wine64 uninstaller instead of just wine uninstaller.
  • Service install.

Workarounds

What was not tested

  • GPU computing (no GPGPU available).
  • Attaching to project manager.
  • RAS.
  • SETI@Home graphics.
  • Screensaver.

HowTo / Notes

BOINC is available for your platform

BOINC is available for a wide array of platforms, and a lot of platforms are supported by the projects. You are probably better off asking a project to support your platform than using Wine to translate Windows calls.

It should be possible to use a native BOINC and run a Windows executable with Wine if absolutely necessary.

Test results for BOINC are still welcome as they help developers with Wine.
