Have anyone gotten this to run with AMD drivers?
by Mads on Sunday February 28th 2016, 13:05
I keep getting "Fatal error! Address = 0x32bithex (filename not found)" when launching the game on a computer with an AMD card, tried both with AMD Catalyst Crimson 15.12, and mesa r600 from git.

Many people have reported a similar bug on Windows on the steam forums, and those issues stemmed from wrong PhysX dlls (see steamcommunity.com/app/319630/discussions/1/618453594739747586 ). I've tried both 9.13, 9.14, removing PhysX etc, but everything yields the same error.

Anyone else had any luck? This is on Wine 1.9.4, tried both staging and non-staging

Has anybody to get a PS3 (Sixaxis/DS3) Controller working using QTsixA?

Yet I haven't found a solution other's than use the controllers input mapped to Keyboards/Mouse.

Unfortunately, DS3 never worked for me. The analog sensors seemed to keep spamming and most games couldn't handle it. The controller just worked fine in big picture though. Sadly this doesn't help with Life is Strange, as the win steam client big picture mode doesn't work.

non-steam version coming
by Lyn on Monday December 7th 2015, 6:58
A non-steam version will be released in january 2016 and is currently available for pre-purchase. This could help users who experience problems using steam client via wine.

The limited/standard physical edition is the steam version

Unfortunately yes; when I posted this comment, a square enix community manager for LiS on steam stated there will be no need for a steam account when the physical limited edition is out. But later on it turned out to be wrong and the DVD comes with a steam key as well as with a square enix registry key. So Life is Strange stays a steam game. I can confirm this because I got the limited edition myself yesterday.

You need disable fullscreen (try borderless), VSYNC and don't use wine-stagging.
