Installation via Uplay and Steam.
What does not
Everything after trying to start Watch Dogs.
What was not tested
Everything after launching Watch Dogs, since WD will stop itself from running with the following Error! message "WATCH_DOGSTM requires that your graphics hardware be compatible with DirectX 11, and have the DirectX 11 runtime installed."
Only tested on a 64bit Wine prefix. Not tested yet on 32bit, since Watch Dogs is a 64bit only game as per it's System Requirements.
Tested on both Wine 2.0 RC2 and the staging version, on a 64bit prefix. Wine has to be set to VISTA, otherwise Uplay will crash (Windows 7 and 10) or complain that it's not supported (Windows XP). This is an original copy of Watch Dogs, purchased on Steam but needs Uplay to run. So both Steam and Uplay were up and running during testing. First tried running it whilst in a Clean prefix. Then tried running it after installing DirectX11 using Winetricks. Also tried setting useGLSL to enabled, DirectDrawRenderer to opengl, VideoMemorySize to 8192 and 4096, and setting MaxVersionGL to OpenGL 4.5 (hexadecimal dword 0040005). It will always return the same error message. This is all on the following computer: OS- Ubuntu 16.04 64bit CPU - Intel i7-4770 3.4GHz GPU - Nvidia GTX 1070 8GB (375.26 drivers) RAM - 16GB DDR3 1600MHz
