What works
All that you need to run this database:layout editor, remote access, and of course working with the database with many files and pictures and scripts. We are working with a great school database that we do not migrate to a higher version due to some problems with Filemaker 9.0. We are happy that we could move to Ubuntu 14.04
What does not
Some minor rendering problems occur while using the layout editor. Nothing that matters.

This software is running on an old Dell D600 from 2004 as fast as on a modern i7 notebook with 8 GB and Win 8.1!!!! On a 6 year old HP DV6 with just 4 GB and i7 CPU using Xubuntu 14.04 LTS it is running like lightning! I was surprised it was that easy to get my greatest problem solved.
