IETester

What works

• General UI.
  • Browsing through internet explorer options.
  • Browsing through IETester options.
  • About box and version check.
• IE 11.
• IE 9.
• IE 6.

What does not

• IE 10 is unavailable (unclickable).
• IE 8 tab opens but refuses to browse anywhere.
• IE 7 tab opens partially, but no address bar or title.
• IE 5.5 tabs do not open and cause exceptions. The program recovers from these, but essentially IE 5.5 does not function.
• Numerous graphical glitches, mostly black or garbled colours being painted when loading a web page.
  • Often causes flickering, sometimes make parts of the UI unusable for a short time.
  • Whole UI refuses to be backgrounded and runs on top of all the other windows

Workarounds

What was not tested

• Changing internet options.
• Changing IETester options
• Dev tools and debug bar.
• Favourites.
• Printing and print preview.

• Driver: unknown

Additional Comments

Running in Windows 7 mode.

Major features are not usable, hence the rating of Bronze. Having said that, it is still useful for testing with IE 11, 9 and 6.
