What works
- setup, installation and patches (so far)
What does not
- right after clicking 'new game', black screen showed up
and freeze (black screen with music loop) until I tried a workaround.
Special : to make this game work, I used a special wine setup as a workaround (described in extras comment below)

What was not tested

Additional Comments
Workaround : A default wine installation, either 32 or 64, did not work, so here's what I've tried to get the game running : - First, use a wine 32bits setup. This can be done, in a terminal, like this : WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX=~/.wine32 winecfg - then run winetricks gui ... WINEPREFIX=~/.wine32 winetricks ... and install the following : d3dx9, d3dx9_42, d3dxof, dsound, msxml4, vcrun2008, vcrun2010, xinput (one of the twos vcrun is overkill, but can't remember which one so I let them both) - Run winecfg (first command above without WINEARCH=win32) and select the libraries tab : - make it look like mine : atl90 (native, integrated), d3dx9_42 (integrated), msvcm90 (native, integrated), msvcp90 (native, integrated), msvcr90 (native, integrated), vcomp90 (native, integrated) - run the game using something like this : WINEPREFIX=~/.wine32 wine '/path/to/the/game/Blackguards 2.exe'
