What works
Everything with entering data checking the taxes.
What does not
Transmitting the tax declaration to the collection office. This is done by software named ELSTER maintained by the collection office. It is shipped with WISO Steuer but was developed by the collection office.
There was no error message. It seemed to work.
I've used the web interface (upload tax data and submit them from the server). Alternatively one can install WISO for submitting the data on a virtual windows.
