Additional Comments
The workaround for the installer bug is: 1. Make a clean 32bit wineprefix. 2. install wmp10 with winetricks. 3. Run the installer and complete the installation. Note: The DVD must be mounted with the "exec" filesystem flag, or you'll get a "not exec filesystem" error. 4. Make a clean 64bit wineprefix. 5. Copy C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V from the 32bit wineprefix to the 64bit one. 6. Export HKLM\Software\Rockstar Games and HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{E01FA564-2094-4833-8F2F-1FFEC6AFCC46} from the 32bit wineprefix registry. The second key may be different on your system. If so, browse the available Uninstall keys until you find the one that contains entries for Grand Theft Auto V. 7. Import the two registry files you just made into the 64bit wineprefix registry. 8. Download the latest Social Club from the Rockstar support website and install it to the 64bit wineprefix. 9. Install the redistributables from the DVD: - DirectX. - VC++ 2008 Redistributable. Full story: https://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=24515
