Additional Comments

The game supports both opengl, openal and directx. In my experience the d3d output is totally broken, but once one enables opengl the game works fine. To enable opengl one needs to edit this .ini file: INSTALLDIR/Content/SeriousSam2/Sam2.ini and change the gfx_iApi setting to 1. However, before the first launch this file does not exist. So if the d3d output does not work at all like it happened to me you need to swap the two files GfxD3D.dll GfxOGL.dll in the Bin directory for the first launch. Doing so creates the ini file and so you can swap back the files and edit the setting .ini file. In my experience both directx and openal works both fine for audio. But in the .ini file you can change them using sfx_iApi setting. 1 for openal, 0 for directx. As I mentioned in my system the water refraction is not working. In the very beginning of the first level is a pool, if you see it correctly it's fine. Otherwise try to disable refraction from the advanced graphics settings. Finally if you have a wide monitor you might want to setup the correct ratio and field of view:
