I had to download the latest wine tar ball (wine-1.7.55-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz) as the wine version 1.7.55 which is provided by POL does not include the native xaudio2_7 libary. Using this version and the manual DDL overrride of xaudio2_7 to builtin (wine), the game works flawlessly. Make sure directx from ~gamedir/_CommonRedist/DirectX/Jun2010/DXSETUP.exe is installed. The Bug # 38668 is not yet fixed, but the DDL override and the patch from Andrew Eikum (see 1.7.55 release notes) makes this game playable :) Thank you!
