What works
Install program runs and installs under wine 1.6.2 and several other later versions of wine. PlayonLinux was used for winedt installs with different versions of wine. Projects work and Sumata PDF functions with forward and reverse search. All functions work as in earlier versions of WinEdt, no surprises in 8.2. TeXLive was used. Also MikTeX with a soft link to a MikTeX install on a local ntfs disk.
What does not
Installs under wine 1.1.37 but icons display as black boxes. Similar problems with wine versions before 1.6.2.
Version 8.2 only: too many editor tabs disables mouse select of a tab. Workaround: use the equivalent keyboard command.
