from install to playing for many hours, everything works exactly as expected. feels totally native to me.
the OpenGL renderer has some graphics glitches, but I can assume that is just an issue with the game at the time. the DirectX renderer does not have those issues and, in fact, works better for me.
I have never played the game on this machine with Windows, so I can't compare performance. but it is perfectly playable on fair graphics (max textures) settings with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 (open source radeon driver).
What does not
What was not tested
I used the proprietary Catalyst driver and the OpenGL renderer before this version. surprisingly, the out-of-the-box defaults work better than that for me as of now.
