Geometry Dash

What works

Everything that I've tested works, although there are two things that have some issues.

What I've tested:

• Playing regular and online levels
• Using the online features such as commenting, liking and downloading levels
• Using practice mode
• Using start positions
• Editing levels
• Playing with different refresh rates
• Trying out various settings in the game

What does not

1. Turning vsync on causes "jittery" lag. This problem existed in Proton but it was recently fixed.

2. Wine sometimes doesn't register fast clicks. This makes some hard levels impossible to play

Steps to replicate this issue:

1. Create a new empty level
2. Set the gamemode to wave (the pointy icon which goes up and down in 45 degree angles) from the button with the gear icon in the top right corner.
3. Set the speed to 3x from the same menu
4. Place a block somewhere far away in the level so the level is longer
5. Press save and play
6. Go up with the wave and do a small click when it's going down. Notice that at some speeds the click isn't registered.

What was not tested

I tested everything I could think of from creating accounts to downloading levels and playing them.

Graphics:

• GPU: Nvidia
• Driver: proprietary

Additional Comments

Overall Wine performs a lot better than Proton with this game.

Protons problems are:

• Locked to 60hz no matter the screen's refresh rate
• Huge input lag

Protons advantages:

• No jittering with vsync off
