Installs - runtime error appears at the end of the installation of the gog installer, however this can be safely ignored and the game otherwise installs ok.
What does not
The gog installer and game are 32bit; if installed in a 64bit wine sound will not play. Works ok on 32 bit wine.
The game relies on mp4 videos, and needs a codec to be installed. Once this is installed, the game works fine. The legacy (i.e. XP compatible) codecs from media player codec pack (dot com) worked fine for me.
I got it to work using wine 3.19, a 32-bit virtual drive, selected Windows XP as my OS in wineconfig, and installed media player codec pack (legacy / XP compatible) by downloading the executable from the website and running it inside a wine virtual console for that virtual drive.
No other components / fixes were required to be installed.
What was not tested
I did not play the game to the end, but it seems to play as expected.
