No CD / DVD version of the executable is required. Install DX9c, DirectMusic, DirectInput, main game, then patch with RLD no CD/DVD executable.

Installation
Install DirectX 9c dlls, DirectInput, Direct Music using winetricks. Run the setup as on Windows. Overwrite with noCD version of the executable (RLD version works). You can configure wine to run in window mode as well.
