Additional Comments
Installation and patching worked fine. The 64-Bit version of UT2004 only works with the Instant Action mode and maybe multiplayer. When I try to start the singleplayer mode, the community menu and the options the game crashes and gives me a runtime error (about "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library"). Graphical wise I encountered the same problems (fullscreen, mouse movement ect.) as in the 32-Bit version. Since I covered the workarounds in my 32-Bit test I'll save my time to write them down on this review. The added Direct3D9 renderer didn't give any performance boosts over the old D3D8 renderer. In fact the new renderer was slower with a performance drop about 50%, it was the opposite of my Windows results. The OpenGL renderer still has the same performance and beats D3D9 in terms of speed. Testing was done using a clean Wine 64-Bit prefix, Linux Mint 17.2 64-Bit Cinnamon and the NVidia proprietary driver 352.41. I tested some libraries but it didn't help to get the game running without crashes.
