Install works perfectly.

What does not

In fact the software almost works like in the past but the editor updated the database engine from SQL Anywhere 8 to SQL Anywhere 16 and it seems to be the problem: I get two times the error "Erreur SQL (-832) -- Erreur de connexion : Echec de la fonction de mémoire partagée newConn" which could be translated by : "SQL error (-832) -- Connexion error : shared memory newConn function failure".

ISTEA setup

ISTEA requires mdac28 and java 7.

Here are the commands used to install ISTEA 2017:

$export WINEARCH=win32 WINEPREFIX=~/.wine-istea-2017/

$winecfg

choose win7

$winetricks --gui

install mdac28

$wine jre-7u71-windows-i586.exe

For those of you who don't have got this java version, you can download the java jdk 8 (not jre) or newer from the Oracle site and install the jre component from it because the jre 8 and newer doesn't install properly with wine.

$cd /media/cdrom

$wine ISTEA_BxScAgro16.exe
