Installation halts after failed attempt to install Amyuni PDF printer

Error Code: 1797 Unknown printer driver.

See workaround below, which enables the setup to complete.

When launching the installed application, it has a splash screen that incorrectly identifies itself as "Rental Property Manager 2013".  As that splash screen yields to the main window, the application crashes with a "fast exit".

To workaround the failed installation of the Amyuni PDF Printer, disable it in the setup: 1) First, extract the downloaded .exe $ 7z x Intuit_Quicken_Premier_2016.exe That will create two folders, including a DISK1. Inside there's the "Quicken 2016.msi", which has instructions to install that failing printer. 2) Disable the installation of the printer with # perl -pi.bak -0777e 's/NOT REMOVE="ALL"InstallPDFDriver/NOT_REMOVE="ALL"InstallPDFDriver/' "DISK1/Quicken 2016.msi" Note that "NOT REMOVE" was altered to "NOT_REMOVE", which radically changes the sense of the conditional (always false now), while leaving the length of the string unchanged. 3) Run setup to begin installation wine DISK1/Setup.exe
