What works

Basic UI customisation: interface colour, docking panels one under another and as tabs.

Opening old documents, editing, saving them, exporting them.

What does not

Export to PDF is possible only if you choose “Interactive” PDF (not “Print”).

UI scaling feature doesn’t seem to work.

Additional Comments

1. Create adobeTemp in the root directory and assign it proper rights, so the installer could finish the job.

2. The installer may encounter an error on installing MSVC 2012 and MSVC 2013. The reason is probably broken msxml3 installation. winetricks list-installed may tell, that msxml3 is already installed, but the installation may be broken anyway. Manually installing vcrun2012 and vcrun2013 will also result in an error like this:

              017e:warn:ntdll:NtQueryAttributesFile L"\\??\\Y:\\vcrun2012\\msxml3.dll" not found (c0000034)
              017e:warn:module:alloc_module disabling no-exec because of L"msxml3.dll"
              017e:err:ole:apartment_getclassobject DllGetClassObject returned error 0x80040111
              017e:err:ole:CoGetClassObject no class object {f5078f1b-c551-11d3-89b9-0000f81fe221} could be created for context 0x1

To fix it, reinstall msxml3.

$ winetricks --force msxml3

Then install the MS goods

$ winetricks vcrun2012 vcrun2013

Now InDesign should run.
