Version 4r7 of the 3d sculpting sofware.
Please note that successfully running under wine requires CAREFUL setup. Check out silver report for details. Full workup coming soon
YOU MUST INSTALL THE FOLLOWING DEPENDENCIES FOR THIS TO WORK AT ALL
THESE INSTRUCTIONS ALSO WORK FOR 4R8
Using playOnLinux is also reccomended as it makes managing wine installs easy
What I have tested so far
Overall it seems very stable except that mouse clicks seem misdirected like when you try to click on the lightbox buttton and it causes menu drawers to expand. Using a digitizer it works great though, and clicking on the "Hide" link in lightbox header to close it fixes the mouse interaction.
The Intuous support is better and less laggy under Linux ( Intuous drivers on window were always buggy for me ). It feels super sharp and responsive.
What does not
Nothing seems explicitly broken so far, but I have not tested everything
Initial startup is slow, on the order of 1-2 minutes, but this seems to be a massive improvement over 20+ minutes on wine 1.8.x
The DEMO will NOT work as the license popup screen needs comctl6 dll and a host of other dlls that don't seem to play nice with wine. So you can never get past the demo activation step. The popup dialog is blank with a single button, and clicking it exits Zbrush.

Please be aware that getting Zbrush to run on Wine requires careful setup. Please look to the Silver report for notes. These same steps will work on 4r8 as well.
