What works

  • Playing wav, aac, flac (through external plugin), mp3 music with 128 kbps (some exception on doesn't work list).
  • Basic playback functions.
  • Changing themes.
  • Equalizer.
  • Most Winamp 2.x plugins (ripped from Winamp 2.95): input, output, visualization, and some external plugins for Winamp 2.x (FLAC for Winamp 2.x, etc...).
  • Add, delete, clear playlist.

What does not

  • Application will refuse to play MP3 with birate 320kbps or VBR and become unstable (possibly it's application fault as beta, not wine itself). It can be solved by using Winamp's MPEG decoder plugin 'in_mp3.dll'.
  • Minor UI glitches in preferences window.
  • Sometimes main window will partialy black after changing custom skin or after closing visualization on fullscreen.
  • When using lite GUI skin, some functions like deleting or clearing playlist is not working, and time in titlebar was not updated.

What was not tested

  • Some fancy features (send to MiRC, etc...)

Hardware tested

  • Driver:

Additional Comments

Honestly, it runs better in wine than on newer Windows (as it has memory management problem, make program become crash-prone).
