Sketchup 2016 32bit.
Everything I tried worked, rendering is lightning fast on my machine (Core i5-6400 with integrated graphics) and on my laptop (Core i7-4710MQ with NVidia GeForce GT 730M).
Sketchup on Wine runs much faster (feels snapier) than under Windows on the same machine!
What does not
Everything related to web doesn't work. Webpages will open in your LINUX browser, not in Windows. Sketchup pretends you are offline.
Sketchup 64bit didn't work for me - I could not get it to install.
What was not tested
Nothing special has been done to make it work - it installed out of the box and works fine. This is how it worked for me: I installed wine as described in the WiKi for UBUNTU: If your system is 64 bit, enable 32 bit architecture (if you haven't already): sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386 Add the repository: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:wine/wine-builds Update packages: sudo apt-get update Then install (example for the development branch): sudo apt-get install --install-recommends winehq-devel Then configure wine to emulate Windows7 Then download Sketchup 2016 32bit and install it: Rightclick on the Sketchup-installer and chose to open it with wine Accept to download and install .Net4 Your'e done.
