As for the other versions i also tried different Versions of the Miles Sound System DLLs. But i don't think this is the reason because i also have Knights of the old Republic 1 and it runs fine with the same mss32.dll. I havn't tried OSS or PULSEAUDIO because i don't want to change my sounddrivers only for one game.
