What works

Software (both Multisim and Ultiboard 14.0), after some troubleshooting work as well as the proprietry windows application should.  It's not a fantastic piece of software(but I don't want to change!).  Currently all functionality seems stable.

What does not

Installation.  The self extracting .exe downloader and extractor from the website do not work through wine (bad .EXE error).  I had to extract these using windows (virtualbox - or borrow a windows machine for 10 mins).  Once down to the level where there is a setup.exe file - this MAY install on your machine. It repeatedly failed on mine due to a HI-TECH-lite install failure.

The workaround to install problems:

Search through the Products folder and install .msi (with the command wine start ...msi) files in this order:

1. CVIRTEUpdated

2. ewbcore

3. MDF

Once these have been installed - the rune wine setup.exe - this should now run through without errors.  fingers crossed, with some licensing bits done, it should work.

Also - I had to copy the database files from a working version .prd/.prj files to get a working database (ultiboard throws an error and tells you where to put them)

What was not tested

Have not yet tested export quality of gerber files. I will do - this is important.
