The Sims 4.
Create a 64 bit wine environment.
Install via winetricks:
What does not
Origin-in-game does not work. You have to turn that off for The Sims 4, before launching the game, or it will error out.
There are some wacky permissions issues on the Origin folder when trying to install Origin in the first place.
You need to install inotify-tools:
apt install inotify-tools
Then navigate to the "Program Files (x86)" folder in your wine prefix,
and run the following command in a separate terminal window. Start it *before*
you start the origin installer, and leave it running until the installer
while true; do inotifywait Origin; chmod u+w Origin; done
What was not tested
Nothing. Everything related to The Sims 4 works fine.
When downloading The Sims 4 and extra packs, it complains about the download failing at the end of each download, but they show as downloaded, and they run fine.
