Runs, able to register my adobe account and open acsm file with DRM.
Able to transfer epub to Nook Glowlight plus via the same method on windows. (not direct from ADE, have to use a file manager)
What does not
Can't use most current ADE version (4.5.7)
09 Feb 2018
The key thing is must run a 32 bit environment and use the ADE 4.5.0 installer since the 4.5.7 gave the “already running” error mentioned in these other posts.
Here are the steps on fresh/updated install of Manjaro KDE. If you already have a wine 64 bit environment, the Arch Linux wiki wine page has some good info.
sudo pacman -S wine winetricks
Install mono and install gecko
Close the wine config window
Option check you're running 32 bit environment:
[user]$ head -5 ~/.wine/system.reg
WINE REGISTRY Version 2
;; All keys relative to \\Machine
#arch=win32 <<< Good to Go!
Not really sure if this next command was really needed, but I did it:
winetricks -q corefonts dotnet40
Download the 4.5.0 version http://filehippo.com/download_...
Double click on the “ADE_4.5.0_Installer.exe” file and install.
I did not have to "Emulate a virtual desktop"
What was not tested
Not sure was I'm missing by using 4.5.0 rather than the current 4.5.7 version.
